WHAT HAPPENS DURING A COUNSELING SESSION?

The simple answer to that question is that your counselor listens as you identify areas of concern in your life. Since each client is unique and has different challenges or issues to address, an individualized approach will be designed to meet your specific needs. Alexander Counseling will use several methods to aid you in your personal growth journey. You may be asked to complete checklists or answer questions. You will help design a plan or contract to reach your goals. Some techniques that may be used include journaling, reading short articles, viewing videos, sharing your thoughts, and examining your attitudes and behaviors both during and between counseling sessions.
